Over two weeks of the summer camp, students enrolled in this program will be able to virtually meet computer scientists and professors from schools across the U.S. and learn from their experiences and expertise.
Feb 01, 2022 - Apr 25, 2021
Over the four weeks of online activity students enrolled in this program will be able to virtually meet physicists and professors from schools across the U.S and learn from their experiences and expertise. They will also be able to interact with other like-minded peers who are driven to learn. Participants will gain career insights and new knowledge through interactive games and challenges held throughout the camp. Any new physics that is taught will not be too in depth so no prior knowledge will be required but there will be a range of topics participants would not have been taught in an AP physics course. For example, theoretical physics concepts. Students will work on understanding on a basic level so that they can have a better idea of what they will want to focus on in the future.

We are a student run organization based in the Seattle area working to make STEM education more accessible and fun for everyone. Our goal is to create a platform where students can collaborate with others who share their interests in computer science and STEM. To do this, we will be hosting our second free hackathon, an event where computer programmers and others involved in software development will work together to develop a project. We plan to launch it in summer 2021.

The MIT Beaver Works Summer Institute (BWSI) is a rigorous, world-class STEM program for talented students who will be entering their senior year in high school. The four-week program teaches STEM skills through project-based, workshop-style courses. BWSI began in 2016 with a single course offered to 46 students, a mix of local daytime students and outof-state residential students. In this course, RACECAR (Rapid Autonomous Complex Environment Competing Ackermann steering), students programmed small robotic cars to autonomously navigate a racetrack.
